Bab Al Shams: An Oasis in the Desert.
After a busy week of looking after Harry Bear (who was poorly) and missing Daddy who was in New York we managed to escape to Bab Al Shams for a few days with the Morris family. What a weekend! I think Bab Al Shams is my favourite place in Dubai, it is truly a relaxing experience.
We all enjoyed the Arabian Nights feel to the place and I imagine it must be spectacular in winter.
Harry and Jacob enjoying a nap. The Mummy’s and Daddy’s really took advantage.
Glam Granny Mo catching some rays!
Check out the Morris Family enjoying a sunset swim!
Louise, James, Alexander & Jacob having a sunset swim.
The gorgeous ground floor terraced rooms with private outdoor space for a quiet afternoon drink.
Bab Al Shams is truly a desert oasis!
That smile and those blue eyes!
Daddy teaching Harry how to swim since he was 4 weeks old.
Getting ready for dinner in Al Hadheerah Restaurant. We saw so many baby gazelles on the walk back home and the white horses on the dunes at sunset were spectacular, a truly magical desert experience.
Thanks to Ciara for my dapper outfit and Lisa for my swanky shoes, you gals keep me in vogue.
We enjoyed the most amazing quiet morning swims after a delicious early buffet breakfast at Al Forsan Restaurant.
The first time ever that Mummy was the first to breakfast in a hotel but she didn’t mind because we got to watch the sun rise over the beautiful desert and all the birds were singing!
The service and attention to detail at the resort was second to none. I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful Arabian architecture and the traditional feel of the place combined with contemporary fittings. I highly recommend this haven to anyone looking for a rural escape.
Thanks to Daddy Bear who organised this much needed weekend away!
